Residential Building on Cabral Street

Residential building located on Cabral Street, set on a plot containing a pre-existing house, which is preserved by the proposal. An outdoor courtyard articulates the two constructions, establishing a relationship between them and enhancing transitional and communal spaces. The site layout also respects the large existing guapuruvu tree along the building alignment, from which a sinuous circulation path is defined to organize access to the building.

The design concept is structured around two parallel bands of structural concrete masonry. One accommodates the vertical circulation cores, while the other concentrates service spaces. The space between them defines the social and private areas of the residential units, ensuring spatial clarity and constructive rationality.

With parking located in the basement, the residential units occupy the ground floor and three upper levels. The ground floor and the second level house single-floor units, while the top two levels form a duplex unit with access to a private rooftop. The configuration of the units seeks to maximize natural daylight and promote abundant natural ventilation.
